Whether it's your boat canvas, awning or other outdoor fabric product, seam failure is generally a result of thread that's been adversely affected by the elements. ABC Canvas solves this problem forever by sewing with TENARA® thread.

Why does stitching fail?

Outdoor canvas is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, cleaning agents, pollution, saltwater, air and rain. While these elements are detrimental to both the fabric and seam thread, the thread usually fails first. Traditionally, polyester thread has been used for sewing seams even though it would often need replacement every few years. Today, the latest fabrics last 5 to 10 years. Why not have seams that last just as long?

What is Tenara® Thread?

TENARA® is a remarkable thread manufactured from 100% expanded PTFE fiber, a unique form of PTFE commonly known as Teflon®. TENARA® thread is immune to UV radiation and will not deteriorate from exposure to the environment!
